Support Services: Technical Support

GP is pleased to offer our EtaPRO customers a comprehensive, yet flexible technical support program called Performance Plus+™. Our customers told us they wanted to be able to structure their EtaPRO support plan to meet their specific needs and help them get the most out of their EtaPRO and PI investment. In response, GP developed Performance Plus+, a three-tiered technical support program that allows you to use GP's technical experts to your advantage.

Tier 1: Basic Software Support

Tier 1 is Basic Software Support, which allows you to receive unlimited telephone support and new software releases. This level of support is intended for customers who wish to handle system administration and upgrades with internal resources. GP has launched a new online support site that will allow you to request support, report product defects, and track those issues for your plant.

In addition, GP offers one (1) seat on the GPiLearn™ training portal at www.energywbt.com at the plant, and gives you access to our web-based training library of over 1,400 lessons for power plant operators.

Tier 2: System Maintenance

This support tier is intended for customers who prefer to outsource EtaPRO system administration. GP will maintain your EtaPRO system in top condition with minimal site assistance.

Tier 3: Virtual Engineering Services

Virtual Engineering Services consists of Performance Engineering Services, Application Engineering Services and Engineering Performance Audits. These services are designed for customers who need access to additional power plant thermal application and performance specialists.

GP maintains a staff of experienced thermal performance experts who can provide insight into the way your plant is operating. With Virtual Engineering Services, GP takes a proactive approach to finding and diagnosing equipment and instrumentation problems. Every month (or other frequency of your choice), one of GP's experts will log in to your EtaPRO system to audit plant operation and major component performance. You will receive a brief summary report highlighting opportunities and any areas of equipment. Every day, our experts work with different power plants throughout the world. You can put this experience to work for you with our Virtual Engineering Services.

Choosing a Plan That's Right for You

If you'd like to maintain your own EtaPRO system with periodic assistance from GP and want to receive free software releases that you install yourself, Basic Software Support will meet your needs. On the other hand, if you'd like GP to do periodic maintenance on your EtaPRO system to keep it humming along, the Total System Management/Maintenance Services are a good addition to Basic Software Support. With Virtual Engineering Services, you can also have GP provide reports, displays, and new calculations by purchasing blocks of configuration hours. GP can apply our understanding of power plant operations and performance to help you improve plant heat rate and capacity.
