Monitoring Module

The EtaPRO Monitoring Module represents the core of the EtaPRO system. It monitors all of the major plant components and the plant as a whole. The EtaPRO system can also be utilized to monitor an entire generation fleet.

Server Application

The EtaPRO Server Application is used to acquire field data, perform calculations, archive historical data, and provide real-time and historical information to the workstation application. The server software operates as an NT service with an integrated service manager. Using the latest software DCOM technologies, the EtaPRO Server delivers data to client applications via TCP/IP rather than file sharing, thereby greatly enhancing system security.

Client Application

The EtaPRO Client Application is used to view real-time and historical information, and to configure and maintain the EtaPRO configuration on the EtaPRO Server.

• All data arrives just-in-time to the workstations. Files, screens, etc. are downloaded just before they are needed, resulting in reduced network traffic.
• Convenient Outlook®-like custom screen navigation bar and dockable toolbars provide easy access to the EtaPRO screens and tools.
• Users can select the screen and unit/plant configuration to be displayed on EtaPRO startup.
• A Calculation Dependencies Mapping Tool on the Data Point Configuration Form displays the hierarchal structure (similar to a file directory) used to configure any data point in the EtaPRO system. A list of all the independent variables and their independent variables displays for a chosen data point. You can view a short-term trend for any point in the list as well as view its configuration form.
• Streamlined Data Point Configuration Forms make it easier to edit calculated and schedule data points.
• An All Points Configuration Form allows you to add, edit and reorder data points from a single global view.
• The ability to clone one or more data points makes expanding the system easier and faster than ever before.
• The metafile-based Screen Builder Tool allows you to add real-time data points, labels, strip charts, X-Y plots and bar charts to backgrounds you create on the screen without leaving EtaPRO.
• Public and User screen groupings can be expanded using the Screen Builder Tool. There is no hard limit on the number of screen displays and display scaling has been improved.
