Short Topic Training Sessions

This year’s "short topic" training format will offer a broad range of learning opportunities. Topics will include existing and new EtaPRO 9 software capabilities, plant performance analysis, individual equipment performance issues, and VirtualPlant™ modeling techniques. Four different topics will be available during each session; participants may choose topics of interest to them.

The following topics are representative of the seminar curricula being presented:

  • Transitioning to the EtaPRO 9 client
  • Using EPAlert to notify personnel of plant/equipment status changes
  • Using VirtualPlant to audit utility steam turbine cycle performance
  • Customizing the EtaPRO 9 Operations Log
  • Validating unit heat rate using EtaPRO & VirtualPlant
  • Troubleshooting common performance problems using EtaPRO & VirtualPlant
  • Tuning gas turbine models in VirtualPlant using measured plant data and EPTrendSetter
  • Creating and distributing standard reports using EPReporter
  • Integrating EtaPRO into operations training programs
  • Combined Cycle Plant case studies using EtaPRO & VirtualPlant
  • Understanding the KPI’s used in GP’s Tier 2 Performance Monitoring Service

"I have attended the annual EtaPRO Users Conference each year since the installation of our Performance Monitoring system at H.W. Sundt Generating Station in 2003. I have found the exchange of ideas and experiences among EtaPRO Users at the Conference to be beneficial. But to me, the real value has been in the training sessions that followed the opening day presentations. I was able to select classes from several offerings to suit my needs and interests. The instructors were 'top notch' and demonstrated a commitment to provide a high level of customer support."
