2010 EtaPRO Technology Training Workshop HighlightsThis year's workshop was held concurrent with the GPiLEARN™ Users Conference. With over 70 companies attending, we received a lot of great feedback concerning the hands-on EtaPRO™ and VirtualPlant™ training. We are evaluating customer responses as we begin planning our next workshop and incorporating the constructive ideas we received to make the next workshop even better. Four and a half days of hands-on EtaPRO and VirtualPlant training was delivered, with dedicated curriculums for both intermediate and advanced EtaPRO users. Case-study based VirtualPlant training was presented for 2 1/2 days to demonstrate the effects of common plant and equipment degradation on the boiler and turbine cycles, and their impact on the overall unit's performance. EtaPRO training was provided for EPReporter™, EPAlert™, EPLog™, VirtualPlant Model building, turning and benchmarking, and many other topics. We were excited to announce new EtaPRO capabilities that are available or will become available in 2010. Currently available, the EtaPRO Web Viewer can be downloaded from the EtaPRO support site and can be used to effectively provide performance and condition monitoring throughout your organization. If you haven't investigated the EtaPRO Web Viewer, we encourage you to call us for more information or download the software and easily convert your existing EtaPRO screens. In addition, Joe Nasal, Senior Vice President of Energy Services, announced the upcoming EtaPRO pattern recognition capability. Expected in late Q3 or early Q4 2010, the EtaPRO pattern recognition capability will be available to all customers with existing PerformancePlus+ contracts. Combined with GP's 1000+ man-years of Power Plant Performance Monitoring expertise, our Remote Monitoring & Diagnostic Center, our first-principle's thermodynamic modeling program—VirtualPlant, and our EtaPRO Performance and Condition Monitoring System, GP anticipates providing our customers unmatched value and capability using a common, fully integrated platform. Through a synergistic blend of people, processes, and technology... our goal is to help you effectively train to your workforce and enhance your plant's performance through increased availability, capacity, and efficiency. The team at GP's Energy Services would like to thank all who attended for making our 2010 EtaPRO Technology Training Workshop a success, and we look forward to working with you to expand the value from your existing EtaPRO systems. |
